Exact details about the fight are not clear, but the fight broke out at the game Sunday night, Oct. 27, Shippensburg Midget Football League Presiden Jeremy Stouffer explained in a statement.
"I saw two children last night sitting in the back of their car while the mother was being taken away screaming and bawling waiting for someone to come pick them up over a youth football game," Stouffer wrote.
"I am embarrassed of the way our coaches and children acted, the way our parents and fans acted and I am embarrassed of the fact your children were put in an unsafe spot."
Michelle Skaggs, 37, previously of Shippensburg but most recently of Orrstown, was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, and two counts of harassment, according to her latest court docket.
Tighter restrictions on parents and coaches at future Shippensburg Midget Football League games were suggested by Stouffer.
"Why must our parents live through our children why can't the children just play and be themselves. I saw behavior last night that was inappropriate at any level of sports let alone youth."
This is the second statement Stouffer has needed to release about adults' behavior at games in less than one week.
Michelle (Naugle) Skaggs and her husband Christopher "Chris" Clinton Skaggs already have an active case for disorderly conduct Title 18 5503(a)(4) for a rage road incident at the intersection of Rowe Road and West King Street in Shippensburg Borough, Franklin County on Thursday, Aug. 15, as Daily Voice previously reported.
Michelle Skaggs is "Momma of 3 StepMomma to 2," as stated on her Facebook profile.
Additional details about other parents possibly charged were unavailable at the time of publishing.
